Elysium Space is partnering with the Pittsburgh-based lunar logistics company Astrobotic. Elysium capsules will be delivered to the lunar surface by Astrobotic's Peregrine lander, to be onboard a ULA’s Atlas V launch vehicle. Early reservations for the Lunar Memorial service open at $9,950 for the first 50 participants, while later reservations will be offered at the regular rate of $11,950. Each Participant provides a symbolic portion of remains to be placed into a personalized capsule. The capsules will then be delivered to the lunar surface by Astrobotic’s Peregrine lander as part of Astrobotic Mission One. The landing side is located in the northeast part of the Moon. It contains a pit that is a compelling exploration target for the mission.

The Lunar Memorial service includes:

  • The collection and delivery of a cremated remains sample to the lunar surface
  • The printing of initials on the capsule containing the remains
  • The printing of a personal message on the capsule module
  • An invitation to the launch viewing event
  • A professionally produced video of the launch event
  • A certificate attesting the completion of the lunar landing

The integration of the capsules into the launch vehicle is performed several months in advance. Moreover, the number of participants is limited by the lander capacity and reservations will be on a first come first serve basis. We therefore strongly advise you to book your Lunar Memorial as early as possible.
