The Shooting Star Memorial is an exceptional way to honor the life of someone you love. Our specially designed memorial spacecraft, containing a symbolic portion of a departed’s ashes, respectfully orbits the Earth for several months while family and friends follow this journey through the stars using our free mobile app. In a last poetic moment, the spacecraft harmlessly reenters the Earth’s atmosphere, blazing as a shooting star.
The Memorial Spaceflight Service includes:
- The collection and launch of a cremated remains sample into space
- The printing of initials on the capsule containing the remains
- The printing of a personal message on the memorial spacecraft
- An invitation to the launch viewing event
- A professionally produced video of the launch event
- A certificate attesting the completion of the memorial spaceflight
The integration of the Elysium spacecraft into the launch vehicle is performed several months in advance. Moreover, the number of participants is limited by the spacecraft capacity and reservations will be on a first come first serve basis. We therefore strongly advise you to book your spaceflight as early as possible.
